Initiations and Ceremonies

Initiation is a full transformation and spiritual elevation offering healing and wholeness to those who are called to undergo it. It requires commitment to one’s journey, the Oluwos who are facilitating it and training you, and the temple. It is supported by fully initiated Isese priests whose  lineages are from Ibadan, Osogbo, Alagbado, and Otta, Nigeria.

The Path to Initiation General Summary
Inquire via Divination with Chief Yele or Baba O to determine which initiations are most appropriate for your life and at the time. 
Begin doing Ori Work. You may do that by scheduling an Ori Bibo Ceremony. You may also undergo Isefa (Receive a hand of Ifa) 
Begin ancestral work. You might do that by setting up an ancestral altar and or receiving a consecrated Egun shrine
Begin working with your Egbe. You might do that by making an offering or receiving an Egbe shrine.  
Begin development process including taking coursework in Orientation to Ile, Fundamentals of Tradition, 
Undergo a course of  Spiritual Therapy  ( An approved Counseling process of at least 8 sessions)
Make deposit or payment Sign Agreement and Establish Date 
Continue to make payments if not paid in full and counseling.

Itefa / Itelodu/ Ifa Initiation

Itefa is full initiation to Ifa. Itelodu is full initiation with Odu . Itelodu is generally for men and women past menopause to receive Odu shrine while anyone can receive Itefa. The Ifa initiation ceremony is a highly specialized and ancient process that initializes a formal and higher relationship with Orunmila, the Orisa of Wisdom and aligns you with your Ori.  This initiation allows the initiate to study and learn the mysteries of Ifa which can awaken intuition and set you on your path to fulfilling your highest destiny. Initiation means to begin...and is not a completion process. The person becomes an initiate and is known as a Awo Ifa or Omo Awo. Not all initiates are destined to be diviners or community priests. For some, it is for health, protection, improving the quality of one’s life. Only training and experience makes one a Babalawo or Iyanifa/ Iyalawo. The potential candidate should understand that while this initiation will teach them how to use the tools they are given to make offering to Ifa and communicate, advanced education is required to learn advanced methods and divination. A comprehensive online and in person education is available for this initiate after initiation along with the cost of priesthood membership. Idosu / Irari Orisa Intitiation 

The Orisa initiation ceremony initializes a formal and higher relationship with an Orisa by seating the Orisa in the Ori and empowering the person with the Ase of the Orisa. Irari is an initiation process that does not involve the Ori such as Egbe or Egungun. These initiations  allow the initiate to study and learn the mysteries of the Orisa/ Egbe/ Egungun as well as learn the medicines a, special applications, divination for the them.  Initiation means to begin...and is not a completion process. The person becomes an initiate by receiving the icon of the Orisa and undergoing the ceremony. To be considered a priest, extensive training and an apprenticeship under the direction of a licensed priest/mentor is required. . . The potential candidate should understand that while this initiation will teach them how to use the tools they are given to make offering to the Orisa and be a caretaker of that Orisa for their personal evolution and support , additional education is required to learn advanced methods and divination in order to be a community Olorisa or priest  This may require an additional fee and/ or a membership in good standing in Ashe Soul Global. Isefa -Hand of Ifa 

Isefa  is called a Hand of Ifa and means the person is receiving a consecrated shrine of Orunmila and becoming an official Onifa - Ifa devotee. 
It may be done in person or through distance but it culminates with the reception of a consecrated Ifa shrine.. Ise’fa is received to provide protection, improvement of life circumstances – in essence, to align with our destiny. It places you under the protection of Orunmila and makes you an official devotee of Ifa.  The person will receive a consecrated Ifa shrine specifically prepared for the recipient. The recipient will also receive a consecrated Esu Odara shrine specially prepared for them to work on their behalf for support in their lives and to support their Ifa. The presence of these shrine provides the opportunity for its devotee to pray and make offerings to directly to Ifa and Esu. You will be taught how to develop spiritual intimacy with Ifa and your Ori (inner head), as well as Ifa’s message on how to navigate your way through life smoothly. This ceremony is NOT Ifa initiation nor does it qualify you to be able to perform divination for others. It may, under approved circumstances, allow you to begin to learn more practices in Ifa including formal Ifa education and training. Your ifa shrine will include : The consecrated icons for Ifa A consecrated shrine for Esu.  Ifa beads,  A special soap made from Ifa herbs designed to offer connection to ifa, spiritual cleansing, protection and support. Some Materials for offerings. A full online course will accompany the reception of this ceremony that will guide you through learning how to care for it and utilize it.

Sise Orisa /Hand of Orisa
Egungun or Egbe Shrine

 Sise Orisa is a ceremony that involves the receiving of an Orisa shrine. This may be done when divination has indicated that the individual may benefit from personal worship of the Orisa. It may also be done as a temporary method of alignment with the Orisa if finances prevent full initiation at the time. The individual can receive it in person or through distance and includes a general education component to teach you how to work with your shrine and establish a personal relationship.
